The secondary market for life insurance policies in the United States remains a buyers market with returns at distressed levels. This is despite positive developments, such as medical underwriters having revised life estimates and an improving regulatory environment with most states now regulating life settlement transactions. Ress Life Fund is now buying polices at very attractive returns and initially the investment strategy is to buy smaller policies with longer life estimates in order to build a diversified portfolio.
